Marceline first appears in the episode Evicted, where she kicks Jake and Finn out of their house because she had already marked it…god knows how long ago. She has the personality of a rocker girl, being wild and fearless. It is said that her travels throughout the Land of Ooo contribute to this fearlessness. Unlike the typical vampires that feast on blood, she eats shades of red. She is very flirtatious when she first meets Finn, and kisses him on the cheek, even though she is a complete stranger to him. Even though she enjoys scaring Finn and Jake to the point of screaming, she respects Finn for giving her a fight that she hadn’t had in years decades. 

Marceline wears the following: A gray tank top, blue jeans, red boots, and keeps her long black hair..long. She has a permanent bite mark on her neck, which indicates she could have been human at one point in her life. Why she’s the Vampire Queen now, I have no idea. Even though she’s a thousand years old, she looks that of a young girl. She is referred to as “sexy vampire lady” during the Evicted episode. 

She has the ability to levitate, force objects to herself at will, and light several fires. This is demonstrated when she lights all the candles in Finn and Jake’s home. She is an accomplished bassist, and in her premiere episode, she had a pretty damn good voice. Her wolf and Bat form are rather creepy, one thing you should see for yourself. She has two forms, because in Legend, vampires can turn into both bats and wolves. 

On a fun side, she apparently hula-hooped in the Fire Kingdom, owns many homes, and is the only Queen throughout the show. (For now.)

Name: Jake

“You wouldn’t want to marry Finn. He pees his pants constantly.”

Jake is the other hero alongside Finn in Adventure Time. When referred to as Finn’s dog, his friend becomes offended, because Jake is his friend, not his dog. His powers consist of: Ability to change size and shape and move his gut around. The latter ability does actually come in hand in the series. (Like for sledding!) He enjoys playing the Viola with his girlfriend, Rainicorn.

Jake is always there for Finn when he needs him, especially if Finn is feeling disheartened. His advice is always optimistic, shown in the episode Evicted where he has the idea of house hunting. His main concner, is Marceline. He’s scared of all the stories he’s heard about her from “reliable sources.” As a dog, he’s scared of eating chocolate, afraid it will kill him. He can be a tad bit irresponsible, first seen in the animated short where Finn is fighting the Ice King, and Jake is talking to Rainicorn about viola’s. His “Bread and Butter” and “powdered donut” are parts of his body. (Props if you know what episode this was told in!)

Jake has at least 23 contacts in his phone, a column in a news letter, and he will not post the squirrel’s letter. At least, so it seems. It is rumored that Joshua and Margaret are Jake’s parents (I wouldn’t know how to tell. [/sarcasm],), but nothing is confirmed as of yet. Finn and Jake do call each other Brother in Memories of Boom Boom Mountain. 

Name: Finn (Pen in the pilot!)

Pen Finn is the hero of the series, sporting his well known white hat (which he claims is awesome!!) covering his ears, hair, and most of his face, his blue short-sleeve shirt, blue-jean shorts, black shoes, and two-green colored backpack. Finn’s parents are unknown, shown in the episode Boom Boom Mountain. He was found by Joshua and Margaret, two dogs, after lying there, crying in his “boom boom.” He promised to help those in need after that day.

When Finn talks, it is shown that he has missing teeth. This is probably because of his RIGHTEOUS evil slaying, and fighting. It clearly shows how young Finn is, but how amazingly awesome his fighting talents are.

A brave twelve year old, and, as revealed in the episode The Enchiridion, righteous, because of his evil slaying. His random phrases come from absolutely no where: “Shmowzow” and “Slam-a-Cow.” He is easily made jealous in the episode Ricario the Heart Guy, because Princess Bubblegum pays more attention to Ricardio, the Ice King’s heart. (Which no one knew until the end of the episode.) 

Finn is a well known fighter, jumping heights unknown to man to slay the evil. He is also known for his origami skills when he makes a paper crane for Princess Bubblegum. His partner is RIGHTEOUSNESS(!!!!) is Jake, a dog. The two are always seen together throughout the series, and are practically inseparable, except in that part of Dungeon where the two made a bet…but that’s all done now!

Finn has blonde hair! This is confirmed through Pendelton Ward’s formspring. 

Name: Princess Bubblegum

Princess Bubblegum is the Princess of Candy Kingdom. As shown, you can obviously tell her signature color is indeed…pink. She is made of bubblegum and human DNA, making her candy! She seems to spout bubbles when she’s excited, and when she moves her arms in unison, a twinkling sound is heard. Her eccentric personality and love of all things (except the Ice King) is evident throughout the whole series. In the episode Slumber Party Panic, she is protective of her people, moving them into the Candy Foyer for the sleepover so the undead Candy people wouldn’t cause them to explode. (They explode when they’re scared!)

It is assumed that she has parents, but it is currently unknown if she does. She is known to own a Rainicorn, and a Swan that shoots lasers. (IT SHOOTS LASERS. HOW COOL IS THAT?! Shown in the episode: Dungeon.) She seems to tell Finn, in a child-like-way, that he’s adorable and cute. There is no evidence that these comments are in a romantic way, or just…friendly. She dated Mr. Cream Puff, who appeared as an undead Candy Citizen and told P.B. “Gimme some sugar, baby.” 

It is assumed that Princess Bubblegum is her full name, seeing as Finn’s name is Finn the Human, Bubblegum could be either a surname or first name. But we’ll always refer to her as P.B. or Princess Bubblegum. 

Other than being a pretty Princess, she is quite the nerd! Her love of science is shown through multiple episodes, and she even stated in Slumber Party Panic, that “The answer was so simple, I was too smart to see it!” She is very modest about her intelligence, and doesn’t prance around bragging about it. She can have a mean side, however. In the episode The Duke (as well as Dungeon), she is seen getting furious at people, namely The Duke (when it should have been Finn!) and Finn himself when she flies in on her laser-shooting-eyeball-butt-kicking Swan. She had to be reminded she was the smartest person before she finally flew away with Finn and Jake on her swan.

Name: Lumpy Space Princess

“Oh yeah! I’m havin’ a fun time! Oh my gosh, probably the best time I’ve had in my entire life!”

Lumpy Space Princess is obviously the Princess of the Lumpy Space. She is seen throughout multiple episodes, premiering in one of the two season premier episodes, Trouble in Lumpy Space. Her appearance is…A purple lumpy cloud! She is not seen wearing a crown as many of the other Princesses do, but the star on her forehead represents Royalty. Her voice may not represent her feminine side, but she is indeed female due to her title: Princess. 

She often replaced obscenities with the words “Lumpin” or “Lump”, as seen in Trouble in Lumpy Space, when she tells her parents to “Lump off” — they were horrified. Her parents are Lumpy Space Dad and Lumpy Space Mom. LSP (as many call her) has made her mother cry at least twice.

If bitten by her (which would hurt due to her sharp fangs), you can contract The Lumps, which causes you to bloat and become one of the Lumpy Space People. This is shown when Jake is bitten, and his (almost) transformation into a Lumpy Space Citizen. The only known cure is a small sphere, which Finn found and cured himself and Jake, only to throw it away after. 

LSP tends to lose her temper a lot, especially when her parents remove her rights to the royal car. She can be rather sensitive at times. Finn yelled at her when she called them Smooth posers, but forgave him when he apologized after. Her best friend is Melissa (who’s name in LSP’s phone is BFF 66), a pink lump, who is dating LSP’s ex-boyfriend, Brad. She’s aware that she prefers Finn and Jake, her “real friends“ versus her ”fake” friends in Lumpy Space. LSP seems to be aware of her shallow relationship.
